Solution: You can repair these errors by Windows Recovery
Console using windows installation. You have to go to root letter of your
installation(C:) and use eight commands and reboot the system. This
process is called BOOTCFG/Rebuild, which is complete diagnostic of the
OS loaded into the recovery console. The main use of command is to replace or
remove or repair any system files, which are caused OS to load successfully. It
repairs following files.
- Windows Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL)
- Corrupt registry hives (\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM32\\CONFIG\\xxxxxx)
- Invalid BOOT.INI filesA corrupt NTOSKRNL.EXE
- A missing NT Loader (NTLDR)
NOTE: The
command process may apply to other types of blue screens or
Hive/HAL/INI/EXE/DLL-related stop errors.

issues…
Getting to the Windows Recovery Console
1. Configure your computer to boot
from CD.
2. Put WinXP CD into you CD/DVD
drive.
3. Press any Key to Boot from CD/DVD
message appears, then press any key.
4. Now process begins and wait for
the following screens appears…
5. Press R to open Recovery Console.
6. Select a valid installation(number
“1”) and hit Enter key.
7. If there is an admin password then
type and press Enter Key. New screens appears…
8. Now use eight commands for repairs
your PCs, which are as follows….
a.
C:\CD ..
b.
C:\ATTRIB -H C:\\boot.ini
c.
C:\ATTRIB -S C:\\boot.ini
d.
C:\ATTRIB -R C:\\boot.ini
e.
C:\del boot.ini
f.
C:\BOOTCFG /Rebuild
g.
C:\CHKDSK /R /F
h. C:\FIXBOOT
9. Now Use CD command at
command prompt to the basic root of C:
10. Now we are here C:\>. We
can repair the OS and that begins with modifying the
attributes of the BOOT.INI file
11. BOOT.INI is main file to load OS.
It hidden from our eyes and it is undeletable system file. You can only read
this file using three commands, which are as follows…

-R C:\BOOT.INI

C:\ATTRIB
-S C:\BOOT.INI
12. Now type DEL BOOT.INI
13. Next step, the BOOTCFG/REBUILD
command which searches for pre-existing installations of WinXP and rebuilds
essential components of OS. It recompiles the BOOT.INI.
14. Now type CHKDSK /R /F at C:\>
prompt for checking disk.
15. Now type FIXBOOT . This
writes a new boot sector of HDD. If Windows Recovery Console asked about “Sure
you want to write a new bootsector to the partition C: ?” just hit “Y,” then enter to confirm your decision.
16. Now type EXIT
