 How to Register...
There are three steps for registration. It may be in any order.
Step 1: For obtaining User ID and MPIN (Mobile Banking PIN)
Send SMS <MBSREG><MobileMake> <MobileModel>  to 567676 eg- MBSREG NOKIA N72       (Please give space)
You will get a User ID and default MPIN
Step2: For Installing application on your handset
(a)   If  Mobile is GPRS connection enabled
during Step 1 you will get a WAP link to download the mobile banking application with User ID/ MPIN
(b)   If Mobile is not enabled for GPRS connection
Go to  www.sbi.co.in and click on 'Mobile Banking' under 'Services' link. Download the appropriate mobile banking application to your PC (desktop) and transfer to your mobile using data-cable or Bluetooth.
(Application may be installed in applications / games folder in the mobile)
Step 3-Activation of your service at ATM (Without visiting the branch)
Swipe your ATM card on any SBI ATM and choose Services >Mobile Banking Registration. Enter your 10 digit mobile number and confirm.
You will get a confirmation SMS regarding activation of your account next day.
Pre Requisites-
1.      Must be an SBI account holder
2.      Java enabled mobile handset
How to Use
Login
Ø  After downloading the mobile banking application, click on icon SBI Freedom
Ø Enter your User ID.
Ø  Click on the Option
Ø  Choose Login
Ø  You will be prompted to change the MPIN.
Ø  If not prompted, go to Settings - Change MPIN
Change MPIN
Ø  Change the MPIN after the first login
Ø  Choose Change MPIN
Ø  Under Old MPIN - enter the MPIN received through SMS
Ø  Using scroll button go to the next field New MPIN
Ø  Under New MPIN - enter a MPIN of your choice. (6 characters/digits)
Ø  Scroll down to the next field Confirm New MPIN.
Ø  Click Option. Chose Change.
Ø  SMS - "New MPIN set successfully" is received.
(It is desirable to change the MPIN at regular intervals or whenever there is an apprehension that secrecy has lost)
Validate Account—
Select the secret question from the dropdown and enter the correct answer.
Remember the question chosen and the answer. Should you forget your MPIN at a later stage, these question and answers facilitate your identification and to provide you a default MPIN. You will have to enter your secret question and answer when you want to de-register from the services.
Business Rules-
The daily ceiling is Rs. 5000/- per transactions per customer for fund transfer and Rs. 10,000/- for purchase of services/goods with a calendar month limit of Rs. 30,000/- per customer.
